Default 1998 honda civic gx compressed natural gas?

i wanna buy a honda civic gx for 3500. i wanna know the benefits to a compressed natural gas vehicle. also if i do buy it what kind of fuel do i use? do i have to go to a cng station or can i use propane?

I heard on TV those cars don't go very far between fill ups and finding fuel is very hard.
