Default 2006 Honda Civic Si engine having an Acura rsx Type-s aluminum block? Pro's and con's.?

What are the pro's and con's? So my car is used, the previous owner broke the original aluminum block racing. The dealer which took the car changed only the aluminum block that broke, and put in a block from the Acura RSX Type-s? I am confused as to what changed and what would be different. Thank you.

Both the Civic Si (2006-2011) and the RSX (2002-2006) use the same engine. Different variants of the K20 Engine with the 8000RPM redline making more or less 200HP. With these interchangable parts, the powertrain should be usable. There are no pro's associated with a replaced engine block.

Essentially the whole bottom half of the engine was changed. The piece of metal that houses the pistons and crankshaft has been replaced. The car should be okay to drive as the dealer wouldn't sell you a deathtrap. Based on this information, the cylinder heads and valvetrain should remain intact?

Although these parts are interchangeable and the vehicle will drive, knowing that this vehicle was damaged in a race could mean other potential problems down the road with suspension and drivetrain components due to abuse from the previous owner.

Unless you are a hardcore enthusiast which knows these chassis well, I'd stay away from this buy completely.
