Default 2003 Honda Accord A/C blower fan shuts off ,then back on by it's self .Have you heard of this

happening? and is there a common cause for it ?

It will work fine , respond to controls etc. then randomly shut of for a 1/2 hour or longer then turn back on.

Is this a common Honda problem ?

Bad blower motor power transistor. Honda uses that instead of a blower motor resistor. They overheat. Conduct a current draw on the motor to see if it's drawing too much current. And clean the ground connection to the transistor. In it's not drawing too much current, just replace the power transistor.
