Default 2013 Honda Civic Si Sedan Vs Coupe?

So I'm 16 1/2 going on 17 and I'm looking to get my first car (manual). I've been looking into getting the 2013 Honda Civic Si Sedan because I will be picking people up and going places with it. My goal here is to let everyone be comfortable in my car. The only thing is, I don't think it'll be as sporty as the Coupe, and personally, I don't like the look of the Coupe. Which do you think would be a better choice for me?

Thanks!

Personally a Older Honda... Insurance rates will kill you as you are getting a new car and have no driving experience, especially on a new car you HAVE to get bumper to bumper coverage. Not to mention most people crash there first car. Get a older Honda, learn to drive in it, and if you crash it oh well 2-4k lost, not 18k+ Also the 4 door will be cheaper on insurance compared to the coupe. And if you don't plan on modifying it, just get the 4 door.

Couldn't agree more with you on the looks of the coupe. The sedan looks much better due to the smooth curve that coupe is missing.

Another good news for you is that coupe is the exact same car as the sedan. Same chassis, same engine, same suspension, etc. The only difference is the overall length of the car has increased by 2-3 inches, and the sedan weighs 60 lbs more than the coupe. The difference in weight and size has unnoticeable effect on performance.

The sedan will be cheaper on insurance and will defiantly be more comfortable for the passengers. That being said in my opinion go for the sedan, you get all the sportiness with the luxury for passengers.

Good luck! The Si is a powerful car so have fun and drive responsibly.
