Default 1997 Honda civic lx check engine light?

I was driving with the emergency break on for no more than a mile and the check engine light came on, that's when I noticed I left the hand break on, and the speedometer just bounces, but everything else works fine,, please help.

Default

bring it to a mechanic or even some parts stores do it free , they will hook up the computer to see if there is a problem then reset it so the light goes out .
