Default I swapped a auto D16Y8 into manual Civic Idle problems?

I have a manual 97 civic DX with a D16Y7 that had a blown engine, so i swapped in a D16Y8 and kept the Y7 transmission. I used the automatic Y8 engine harness but it still runs fine. The problem I ran into is it idles very high so I looked and noticed the icv (idle control valve) was not put on because the holes were closed on the intake manifold sense it was a automatic. I could drill them out and put the icv from the Y7 on because the wires do match (people say the y8 wire aint the same as the y7?) but id rather just swap out the y8 manifold to the y7 but people say i cant? Also im running a 5 speed D16Y7 ECU not the Y8. So what can I do? Can I just put the Y7 intake manifold on plug in the icv and call it a day or is there more work involved to get it to idle right? PLEASE HELP Thanks
