Default How to make car Vtec?........................?

I have a 2004 honda civic LX 1.7 with a D17 engine non vtec and i want to know how can i make it Vtec. My friend told me i have to buy a Vtec head. Can someone tell me how i can make my car vtec or give me a link to where i can find out.

Actually a full engine swap is way more expensive

It's not worth the money. Entire engine swap will probably be your easiest and least expensive option when compared to performance increase, but for what? You'll still have a sub-200hp FWD economy car. It would be cheaper, simpler, and much more fun to buy a car intended for performance.

Theres no way out unless by buying another Car,there are believed to be 2 types of VTEC,one is the least power and more economical VTEC/i-VTEC is doesn't give much power and the other ones are used by Honda Sports Car is the more power VTEC/i-VTEC.The only way to make your Car having VTEC is to Engine Swap is,there is no way out. There are many Engine from crushed Honda Sportscar that could be swapped into lesser powerful Hondas, the most famous is probably the VTEC B16A Engine from the EG6.There are other engines out there like the K20s but they're a lot more expensive...

Not worth it, unfortunately your car would only go from slow to, still slow' anyway. Go with forced induction if you really want to go fast,,
