Default 2000 honda civic lx PLZ HELP!!?

I have a 2000 honda civic lx. it is overheating. it is the Worst if ac is on and stopped. It doesnt overheat at all when moving and it overheats slowly when stopped with the ac off what can this be?

Check the coolant level, could be something wrong with cooling system. Possibly water pump leak. Check with mechanic.

check the radiator and water pump for leaks. check the radiator pipes too.

I'd guess your cooling fan isn't working.































it could also be low coolant level, and if that is the case you have to find where your coolant went to that made the level low now. Hopefully its just a simple hose leak or something like that.































so...















Step 1: top off coolant















Step 2: let car heat up, and see if it over heats,















if it still does...















Step 3: Did the cooling fan turn on? if not you need to find out why















fan motor burnt out?















fan switch not working?















fuse blown?































if none of that fixes it, replace the thermostat
