Default Supercharged my Honda Del Sol and now it's slower?

I have a 1996 honda del sol, I recently bought a 5psi electric supercharger and front mount intercooler to cool my intake temperature. I attached a supercharger to the intercooler on the driver side and used some pre bent pipe, rubber gaskets and flexible piping from pep boys to get it ran to my intake. Started my car up, saw and heard the supercharger running. I took it for a test drive and went to kick it in and felt slower. I checked the supercharger and it was fine, checked for boost leaks, found nothing, I even reinstalled everything and was still unsuccessful. Do I just need a tune before I feel any? Bigger fuel pump, or injectors? I need help, ASAP! My local dragstrip opened up last weekend and I wanna run it up there, I'm hoping for 13s with this setup.

LOOOLLLL. you can run that thing all day and you will never break 14's. That crap is nothing more then a scam for gullible people like you to think that your actually going to gain any significant power. you will gain some but not at what you think. but sounds like you need more fuel in the mixture. your increasing the amount of air, but your not increasing the amount of fuel. so yes bigger injector will help it.

You bought a tiny 12v computer fan and expect a performance boost?

1. Try to get your money back.

2. Save up about $5,000 more on top of your $150 fan and then talk to an expert.

Look up electric supercharger myth busted for a good explanation of why your little fan can not possibly work. Sorry - but you got taken advantage of by false advertising.

An engine is a complex system, if you could toss a tiny fan on and get magic performance boosts, why don't they do this to all vehicles? - Because it doesn't work! Blowing air and compressing air are two totally different things. Like water trickling down a roof vs. a pressure washer. A little fan can blow a little air, not compress.

Im assuming you have a Del Sol with a B16... If you have one with a D16... just wow...

SuperCharger: Takes power to make power, uses engine own power off of belt pulley, better for bigger displacement engine i.e 5 liter+. Limited power gains. Not good for 1.6 liter 100 horsepower engines because you will lose about 25 horsepower just to make the superchrager pulley turn...

Turbo: Best for smaller displacement engines.... Unlimited power as you can keep turning up the PSI until the engine blows, gains generally from 3k rpm +, makes it's own power unlike supercharger.

Now you should go turbo and not buy some crappy turbo but a good brand kit like Greddy. Turbonetics, HKS, etc. For your power issue YES you need a tune and YES you need a bigger fuel pump AND injectors. More air+same amount of fuel=Running lean which equals power loss... Now take more air+ more fuel=more power...
