Default Honda powertrain warranty question?

So I got a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid, (I posted here about it before) and the transmission went out two days after I got it, I went back to the dealer that sold me the car and he sold me powertrain warranty that covers engine and transmission! How do powertrain warranty work? I had the car for two days went about 300 miles on it before my transmission went out, will they cover that? Anybody has any experiance with this?

Thanks so much for the help

The dealer that sold me the warranty has backtracked to the day I bought the car, so if you didn't know anything and you are looking at it on paper, the warranty started the same the that I bought the car, it's the dealer that sold me the car that's bad, he knew the transmission is going out, but the bottom line he got me a powertrain warranty that started the same day I bought the car with the same miles

Not too bright, are we?

If you had actually read the warranty paperwork you wouldn't have bought it as it doesn't cover stuff that happened before.

Now if you had the warranty when you bought the car it's likely covered but READING will tell you for sure.

I had the same problem..

If you bought the car "AS IT IS" which it was my case. The dealer won't be helping you at all!!

Then, I went and talk to the insurance company (if you wana call it that) and they told me the powertrain warranty doesn't cover those parts!! I was really upset (pissed) because it was a $2,000 repai! Which it was bs and they ended up not helping me either one of them. I really hope this wont be your case. But I would call the warrant people and let them know what's going on. (Also, don't wait too long or else they gonna be asking you "and why did you wait that long to call us") they will want to so anything to get out of it. Trust me!

But what they're going to have you do. Is to take your car to a certify shop where they accept those type of insurance or warranties. The shop will contact the warranty people with all the details. Then they will be contacting you whether they will cover everything or what they will be covering.

P.s. don't take it to an expensive shop just in case you have to pay for the diagnostic,

Also refer to the "lemon law"

I really wish you best of luck !!
