It's too nice of a car for a teen.

Something like a 2004 Accord is a way more financially responsible choice. Insurance will be a lot cheaper, too.

A teen is likely to ding it up and get into a few bender-benders because they lack driving experience.

If you get a 2012, if will look like a 2004 in no time.

If you want t practical car for a teen, you can't do much better than an Accord. My 04 has 268,000 miles and counting.

I personally believe that's quite a bit to nice for a teen. Really, it depends on the kid, though. Will this be your first car? If so, no. Your more likely to crash your first car, and insurance would be more expensive on a newer car like that. If it's not your first car, and you didn't wreck the previous one, I might get something so new like that, as long as your parents will pay that much for a car like that, and you are responsible enough to NOT wreck it, but accidents do happen. It's really up to your parents. But such a new car at your age makes you look like a spoiled brat.

Unlike Super Flanders stereotypical answer, not all teens may ding up their car, some are actually responsible. Take into account maybe you are. Anyways, a choice of a 2012 Honda Accord isn't bad. It's a fantastic car to drive.
