Stick with the origional size and type that came with your car, less issues to deal with.

Look for Engine rebuilders in your area and see if they can reccomend a good shop for you to take it to to have it done. Look for a rebuilder that has a good warranty on thier product.

Good Job getting 300K out of it!

Whle I gave Steve thumbs up, might I also suggest opting for a low mileage used JDM engine? Do a search "Low Mileage Used Japanese Engines" and you should get results. These engines generally are less than rebuilding yours and they do come with a 6 month ( sometimes 12 month) warranty. Just think about it this way: Your car has millions of dollars in R&D under it's belt. There's a reason Honda selected that engine for your car. It's the best balance for performance, economy, etc. However, if you're loking at 300,000 miles, a total rebuild might be a better option. Problem is that a rebuild usually means fixing what's wrong... not replacing everything. For that, I would recommend you contact House of Engines in Pomona California. Then you'll definitely be ready for 300,000 miles.

I like Steve and Terrences answers... I jus swapped a b16a in to my crx still getting great gas mileage. Try hmotorsonline.com if your looking to swap the motor and local places if your looking to have it rebuilt......or find a rebuild kit and do it yourself
