Default My 5 speed honda shakes VIOLENTLY when i release the clutch when in any gear.?

I was driving my 5 speed honda home from a friend's house when it started shaking violently as i was pulling into the drive way. I parked it, turned it off, then turned it back on. I tried to back it up(to see if i continued to shake), and it would. It sounded like the motor was just banging around. The shaking was so violent, that i was scared my car would explode if i tried anything else. It's only when the car is in ANY gear and i am starting to release the clutch. What could this be?

if it only does it in gear, it could be a bearing in the transmission went out, it could be the universal on the drive shaft, you could have a broken clutch pressure plate if it is a standard transmission, you could have a broken of cracked fly wheel, start by looking at everything and don't be scared to reach down and grab something and see if you can wiggle it etc. just make sure to do it in neutral gear brakes off and have the wheels blocked so it doesn't start rolling down hill on you. if it only does it in gear and not moving its probably the transmission or pressure plate or clutch if it only does it when moving its probably else where in the drive train.

could be a bad motor mount, could be a bad engine, could be a bad p[lot bearing.

Since the shaking was so sudden, It could also be a bad tire. If all you tires look good, jack up the front end and look at the CV axles that go from each wheel to the transaxle. If you see any broken rubber boots on the axles, that is the problem. Either way, avoid driving the car until it can be repaired or at least evaluated.
