Default What is mini me swap in honda?

i have a d16y8 engine in my 98 ex civic. and my friend told that if ihad a mini me swap itll be faster.. What is a mini me and how can i do this

a mini me is a rag dool frankenstein with d16z6 vtec heads and other non vetc blocks, d16y8 is already vtec and is fine, if you want a sohc vtec project that is faster then get it tuned or swap something else. but a mini wont be wort anything, it will only be more powerfull because of the ecu

A mini-me swap is putting a vtec head on non-vtec block. Such as putting a y8 or z6 head on a d16a6 or any non-vtec d16 or d15. Your y8 is already vtec so your friend has no idea what he is talking about. They only way you getting more power is either turbo the y8 or do a b or k series engine swap.
