Default How much power will my civic be loosing?

so out of the showroom it had 99-101 BHP. Dosnt sound a lot and it has never been that fast but its not slow atall. Id happily take it on a dyno withiout feeling like a PeNiS... Anyway its a 1.7 ctdi which is an engine made by Isuzu and is 10 years old now with 136,000 miles and still pulling, the engine is very gunked up with diesel sut and so on, lots of smoke and struggles to turn over, obivously this isnt bad, its just what happens to diesels over time, but the fact that its gunked and has high mileage, how much bhp do you think im running currently? or MABYE even gaining as i read high mileage cars loosen up and gain power, so again what do you think im running? And lastly its about to be serviced, and about to have a full system clean out so how much bhp do you guys think it will have when its all cleaned out? Ps. It is 0-60 in 10-11 seconds but does 122 MPH and has a lot of torque so its pretty quick, bad on acceleration but fast after that, just thought id let you know haha

Hahaha you dont know my other toy, oh and now i could get very angry with you, instead i think il just report your answer for not answering properly and swearing, hmmmm yeah sounds good, good day

What are you hoping for kid, it's a piece of shit that's been halfway to the moon. Give it a service and just be thankful it still runs.

Hi so why get angry about a worn engine they all wear even a rolls royce suffers from wear and tear.

so yes over time mechanical wear does have a detrimental effect on it's performance so by now it could be down to 50 % of what it was but being a diesel engine built to do something like 250,000 miles. like most japanese engines well if serviced and maintained at regular intervals and having oil and oil filter changes it should be just about run in now.

so it will carry on. yes the old metal moth will attack the bodywork but that is now an issue as most don't warranty over more than a ten year period some manage 12 years but they are the exception.
