Spoon and Mugen both were big race teams in Japan. I know forsure that Spoon is still around and still compete. Both companies have been with honda for centuries making after market parts that are proven to make power way before skunk2 or any other branch of brands existed. Mugen teamed up with Honda to provide a line of sport cars such as the Mugen 2010 Honda Civic Si, Mugen 2013 Honda CRZ, Mugen 1989 Honda Civic and etc. Spoon fanatics would hate me for saying this but Mugen is above Spoon when it comes to popularity and variety of parts.
