Default What does it mean when I try to start my 96 honda accord lx and all I hear is one click and

my battery dies? 96 honda accord lx is an auto. Recently my radiator blew up on me out of nowhere and i've changed the radiator and it wouldnt start. Now I changed the starter and when I try to start it, all I hear is just one click and my battery dies out even though it is fully charged. Basically there is no crank, no start. Could it be my alternator or distributor that is the problem? Also when the radiator blew up, the engine bay got wet, could there be a short somewhere. I checked all the fuses it is all fine.

First off, you should check for hydrolock. Since the engine got soaked, it's possible that water got sucked into the engine cylinders. You test this by making sure you can rotate the crankshaft by hand. You can get a wrench onto the crankshaft through a hole in the fender behind the left front tire. Rotate counterclockwise. If it passes that test, then look for a dead battery (how do you know it is fully charged?) or corroded or loose battery connections at both ends of positive and negative cables. Check for voltage at the starter while trying to start the engine.

You have a loose or corroded battery connection.

cars battery terminal are rusty (Sulfated) just unplug and wash with hot water and before reconnecting apply a little bit grease there, will protect for long time.
