Are you positive its a 95? All 96+ Honda Civic has DLC. For a 95' you will have to manually cross the connector under the passenger side glove box to retrieve the code by reading the flash of the check engine light. If the car is a 96+ there is probably a loose wire at the DLC that has been pushed back or broken wire. Get a hold of a wiring diagram or Haynes manual to trouble shoot.

Check the socket and any grounds, maybe run a new ground or ground wires to the port and see how it works, otherwise you ,ay have to trace/replace wires or replace the port.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way this is a good time to have a factory service manual handy so you can know what wire is what. Here's a link to down load a free Honda service manual. http://www.spoonertuner.com/manuals |
