Default My 1994 Honda Civic won't start after new starter was installed?

Trouble shot:















all wires and connections















clutch pedal engagement















battery strength and connections































car will start when clutch is popped

It sounds like the starter was put in wrong. If you did it yourself, do it again. If you payed someone to do it, take it back, politely tell them you want it redone. If its their mistake, they will happily fix it.

Pay close attention to any fuse that is related to the starting of the vehicle, such as the ignition or starter fuses. Replace them if necessary. Check the fuse box for any blown fuses. Check the battery for any signs of corrosion or loose connections. A buildup of corrosion on the battery terminals can lead to an improper connection. Tighten the connections if necessary.

won,t crank ? sounds like the starter is not hitting direct into the flywheel ! if there were shims on the old starter then they have to be put back in the same place on the new starter !
