What are your power goals? What is your budget? Do you know how to work on engines/cars? How much can you do if you can?

We need more info. So I am going to guess at what you want. You probably just want some more "umph" when going. So I say get a b16, or a b18c1(if you can find one for a good price) and you will have roughly double your horsepower now. The b16 makes 160-170 hp and the entire swap cost 2000-2500 and the b18c1(gsr) engine will cost around 3 grand(but it has a little more horsepower then the b16) That includeds axles, shift linkage, tranny, engine, etc but no mounts. Those will cost around 200 more. But if you cant do the swap your self, you would have to pay upwards of 1000 bucks just to have someone install it for you. Cars are an expensive hobby.

also If its a d-series engine all you would have to do is just get the engine maybe trans if u really want. you can get engine/transmission combos from japan for decent prices.

if your swapping to a b series engine which would be a lot more power you would definetely need a new transmission with it. axles. different engine mounts. more than likely bigger exhaust. new ecu(sometimes comes with engine and trans combo)

if you already have a d-series setup i would recommend the ZC DOHC engine.

my buddy had a swap of that done and was racing my other buddy who had a really nice completely rebuilt b16 and it was pretty close when they raced.

do a lot of research online. if you can do it yourself you can definetely save even more money.instead of paying all that labor money you could even throw in a turbo
