Default Will a d16z6 Honda motor run on dpfi?

I have a 1994 Honda civic with a blown up d15b2 currently in it. I bought a parts car for it that has a good running d16z6. From what I've read I need to do a dpfi to mpfi conversion. Is that a must? Or will the d16 run on the dpfi? What all is involved in the conversion.

Why don't you just swap over the entire D16Z6? I believe that you'll just need to by a VTEC wiring harness since the D16Z6 is a VTEC engine. It doesn't say it on the valve cover, but make no mistake, that is a VTEC engine. That would be easier than converting the fuel system. Everything else should hook right up.
