Default Why does my Honda horn fuse keep blowing?

The fuse blew out three times today. I never had this problem before. The thing is, it also locks up my gear shift so I can't get the car out of gear. My brother finally pulled apart the gear shift so I can get it out of park... and I've left the fuse blown. I don't have a horn for the time being but do you think it's safe to drive otherwise? I have to get to work tomorrow and I don't want it blowing up on me. I'm a female and know nothing about cars, unfortunately! It sucks. I did manage to change the fuse myself, though. I don't want to be driving down the freeway and it catches on fire.

It's a 1997 Honda Civic .

It blows as soon as I start it, not when I use the horn. However, my car was recently stolen and my brother had to put in a whole other steering wheel so maybe it has a bad horn? I just don't want an explosion when I'm driving down the street.

If it blows when using the horn , the horn may be pulling too many amps. Relays first thing on both shift and horn curcits. See what else may be on horn curcit. Have seen lighters do this!

My best guess is the horn could be short circuiting (maybe its not grounded properly) or the horn its self has gotten corroded some how, which would require a horn replacement. Im not really an expert but i do have some knowledge about electrical stuff
