Default 1991 Honda accord keyless remote problems...?

I have just put a new battery in the keyless remote of my 1991 Honda accord.

It won't work. Do I need a new wireless receiver for my car?

Or do I need to re-sync it with the wireless receiver?

Check to make sure the batteries are in properly. People make that mistake all the time by putting the battery in upside down. It could be your keyless remote is bad. You can go to some auto parts stores and test it. I know the Auto Zone near me has a test station.
