Default 94 Honda Accord 84k miles, is this reliable?

I am going to purchase a 94 Honda Accord with 84k miles on it. I know the Honda from 97-2000 are very reliable, just making sure with the 94. Any information on it will be very helpful. I has a clean title and I am buying it from the dealer for $2995, haven't haggled on it yet either.

as long as its had a regular service, cambelt changed, your good

but do haggle and try and get at least a 3 month warranty on the mechanics

this is very low mileage for the year

I'm in the UK so not sure on "value" in the USA, but for a 94, no matter what it is, I would give about 400 max. To put this in perspective, scrap would be 100.

$3000 seems to be unreal to me

That is very low mileage of a car that age. Any Honda from 1995 down is actually more reliable then any Honda on the market today. Older Honda's are known for going well over 300k miles. So try to talk the dealer down a little(to around 2500-2700 and you are good to go. I wouldn't worry about the engine to much as it is coming from the dealer, and the warranty will help if anything goes wrong.
