Default 2008 Honda civic ex 5speed over heating!?

I don't know what's going wrong. I put a cold air intake in the car yesterday. Followed all the steps correctly and everything. On my way home the car started to read overheating. I reset the ecu and everything. One hose that ran coolant broke but it's fixed now but still running like shit and showing that it's overheating. What's wrong?

Have you checked your water thermostat, it needs to open and close to maintain water temperature, and is your fan working.. double check all you have done

Did you bleed the air out of the cooling system after fixing the broken hose? Air getting in there will make it overheat.
