Default headlight bulbs on a 99 civic?

Im looking to give my old honda a nice, crisper/ cleaner headlight look. I was maybe looking into the blueish light look, i dont want to go as far as buying a kit or nothing like that. any feed back would be appreciated.

So what's your question exactly? Go to an auto parts store and they'll have a huge selection of light bulbs that will work in your car, including the blueish/white-ish bulbs you're thinking of. Yes, even for your car.

The lights you are talking about are HIDs. You will need to convert so your car can run this. The conversion is around 100 in parts. Then you need to find how bright you want it. 6k, 8k, 10, 12k

You can purchase HID kits that vary in price from as little as 75 up to 200 bucks or more, it really all depends on the brand and type of colour and brightness of the HID headlight you want. One thing you can also look into is changing the regular headlight bulbs to a brighter bulb that can actually help you see further down the roads and at a wider view etc. Many different companies make these so called brighter and better bulbs. The key is the wattage of the bulb. For example if you had plastic lenses and you upped the wattage of the bulbs used the extra heat may melt the plastic of the lenses.

There are some replacement bulbs that SKU BP9003BK these bulbs here in Canada can run you 15-30 bucks or more a piece.Note these bulbs offer you the blueish light look and should be easy to install bec you don't need any kit etc it's the same 9003 socket base bulb as the original Honda bulb.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way some of these brighter bulbs actually do allow the driver to see a lot better when driving especially when it fairly dark out.Note that SKU BP9003BK bulb is actually listed as a Brite-lite dual bulb so it's probably higher wattage and brighter then the standard replacement bulb.

Here's a link to a company that has a few different replacement headlight bulbs that you can check out.

To give yourself that cleaner look I would first clean/defog your headlights. I have a 2000 Honda Civic and they get foggy quite quickly but after I buff them with a headlight kit and drill attachment that came with it they come out AWESOME! Almost like new!! Clean one, step back and you'll see the difference it makes. Any auto parts store has a kit for $20-25.

Next, if you want new light bulbs I can tell you that I've had bad experience with "quality" bulbs from reputable companies. They burn out too quickly compared to the cheap level bulbs.

HID kits can cost $60-?? and it takes a bit more work to install, not much but does not sound like you want to go through the trouble.
