Default I have a 1989 Honda Civic DX Hatchback what model years can I swap parts with.?

I have a chance to get 1991 Honda Civic SI Hatchback with a blown motor for parts. Can I swap out the 4 speed transmission in mine for the 5 speed in the 1991. Are there other parts as well?

Yes, the Si tranny will work just fine. The only thing you really have to worry about d-series trannies is cable or hydro. Unless it was swapped anything from 88-91 is a cable. While you're at it change that dpfi over to the Si's multi-point here's a how-to http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-f...mpfi-swap.html You can also swap in the a6 cam, get yourself an y7/8 cam gear or a adjustable cam gear. The mpfi swap and a6 cam should get your 1.5 up over 100hp. If all that's wrong with Si is a blown motor. Do, the mpfi and cam swap and throw it in the Si. The Si has better suspension, interior, sway bars, exhaust. If, the Si has other issues swap what you can from the Si to the Dx.

Why not just swap the whole motor and trams and drop in a b series or k series in

Fresh motor in, 5 speed, reliable, quick and fast
