Default Is my civic ex-l a vtec?

I have a Honda civic EX-L 2008 1.8l I4 I was wondering if It was a vtec.

Pop the hood. Does it say V-tec on the intake? If not, it's not a V-tec.

Yes although it's only a sohc vtec not a dohc which is alot more powerful

Yes. All EX models since 1992 have VTEC.
