Default 1993 Honda Accord Won't Go Into 2nd Gear?

I have a 1993 Honda Accord, Automatic Transmission. It will allow me to shift the car into park,nuetral,reverse,d4,d3, but it will not allow me to shift into 2 or 1. It seems as if the shift knob locks up. What is causing this? Am I just trying to shift wrong or something? D4 works and shifts perfect and smooth.

This might be as simple as some foreign object fallen into the shift console. You can take the covers off the console by removing 6 screws. Move the seats forward and back to access the screws. You might need to take the handle off the shift lever as well. Once you can see inside, you'll probably figure out what's interfering with the movement.
