No, I do not recommend getting an extended warranty for a 2004 Civic Hybrid. Honda makes reliable cars and the warranty would probably cost more than any repairs that you will need before it expires. Also, extended warranties on used vehicles have a lot of tricks that the company will use to get out of paying for the repairs. So you would pay for the warranty, but get no benefit. I recommend just putting $30 per month in a special savings account to help with any repairs that may come up in the future. Keeping doing this until you sell the car. Any leftover money can be used to help pay for your next car. Have a Happy New Year!
