Can you raise the drivers seat in a 2008 Honda Civic?

I have an 09 Civic. Have you tried the handle on the side of the seat? If you need more height try using a phone book

I have an 08 civic Si. and there is def a lever on the side of the seat that raises and lowers the seat(its dif than the lever that controls the forward/backward and leaning motion)
