Default Honda civic 1.6vtec sport engine management light?

Hi guys i have a 2004 plate 1.6vtec se sport honda civic with 70,000 miles on the clock , recently where i live there has been really bad rain and floods and iv had to drive allot in the bad conditions due to my work, a few days ago on the 3rd day of the rain after going through little floods, heavy rain etc i noticed later on that day the engine management light was on, the car drives perfectly fine, no difference at all , same power etc , only thing is the engine management light is on still. any idea's will be much appreciated? thanks

unless you have a engine scanner by any chance you have to bring it to a shop where they can scan it, maybe tell you exactly why the light came on, and then charge you to reset it/fix the problem.
