Default trying to sell engine for 1991 Honda Civic Wagon RT4WD. Any suggestions?

I purchased a replacement engine from Apollo Motors in Texas to put in my 1991 Honda Civic Wagon. Received engine, but the person that I paid to do the replacement took my money and the car and vanished. So, I have the replacement engine for sale, still stored as shipped on pallet. At time of purchase, I asked Apollo Motors how many miles on it, they did not know. They sent me an email with compression test results; passed, but cannot locate email. Company has since changed hands, as my recent phone calls were to no avail.

My car had the 5-speed manual transmission, which was specified when I ordered the engine. My car had the 16-valve 1.6 liter engine, and so is the replacement engine that I have available for sale.

Also, if anyone knows what other cars the engine can go into? A local salvage parts supplier told me it would fit Civic 1990-1991. A friend who has worked on Hondas believes that it can fit into many Hondas and perhaps Acura.

Have tried placing for sale on Ebay and Craigslist, but has not sold. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Need more info, what is the engine code? Your engine will look different but the code is stamped on the block in the same location as the red circle here: http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/4991/c93c1wh5.jpg

Lower the price enough and some one will buy it. First need to know what 1.6L motor. If it's a d-series ZC then the demand would be low. If it's a b16 then you got a chance.

If you got a ZC then it does not make sense to have that motor installed Honda newer than 92. Legally not allow also with some states.

ZC as low as $350 is not unreasonable.

The 4WD wagon actually had the same D16A6 engine as the 1988-91 CRX Si, 1989-91 Civic Si and the 1990-91 Civic EX. Here's a bit of info for ya. That car actually did not do well on the market eventhough it was a great vehicle so 1991 was it's last year. Honda decided to tweak it's looks, raise it, put a bigger engine it, and rename it CR-V and it was a huge success. The CR-V even uses the Real-Time 4WD pioneered in your car. Crazy how that works huh?
