There is a rod that connects the outside door handle to the door latch. This rod has popped off of either the door handle or door latch.

Many times there is a plastic clip that attaches this rod. This is supposed to be a security. Ideally, this plastic clip is supposed to break if someone tries to use something like a Slim Jim to break into the vehicle.

To fix you will need to remove the inside door panel. Look at the mechanism. Sometimes all you need to do is to pop the rod back in to place. But if the clip is broken you will need to find a new clip. Try the Honda dealer parts department.

Now if you mean you can put the key in the front door locks but the key won't turn or turn enough or it won't move at all then it maybe to cold temperatures. In most cases lock deicer can be purchased and then applied to the lock cylinder and once you wait a few mins to try the key again that usually helps to get the frozen lock cylinder to move again.

Now if the key works but seems to move quite freely or seems to have no load on the key when turning it the clip or linkage may have come loose that runs to the lock cylinder and the lock assembly.

Another issue you could be referring to is when the outside door handles even with the door unlocked via inside/outside the car only the interior door handle manages to open the door. This could be due to a piece of the exterior door handle that holds the linkage in place has snapped or broken, or the c-clip clamp that holds the linkage arm in place has come loose. Also the other end of the linkage may have come loose or bent etc at the lock assembly end.Sometimes the arm that is suppose to move inside the lock assembly when the handle linkage is pulled it ends up sticking or basically seized from rust etc.

Hope that helps and Merry Xmas.By the way the only way to find out whats going on is to take the door/doors apart and then find out what the problem is It's a good idea to have access to the windows up and down features bec you may need the windows up etc to gain access to the different parts.
