Default Question about 1999 Honda Accord ex 4 cylinder engine?

This car has a little over 160k on it, and has a P401 code on it I replaced the EGR valve. I was wondering what is the next step also does it have a plate that is clogged that may need to get cleaned and if so how can I get the black vacuum hose off it clean the plate ? Thank you in advance.

Read this link provided by Honda-Tech, a DIY group that posts its fixes online. I hope this helps.

Might not be the EGR at all. Could also be the MAF sensor. There are sensors that have no fault codes assigned to them, but they effect the air flow. and they cause the EGR to malfunction and throw a P401.
