Default my civic is only two years old and only recently started smelling like melting crayons when the...

...engine is shut? It started with the running of the heating system, but now it's been smelling like melted crayons every time I turn off the car, even when I hadn't been using the heat. Does anyone know why ?

You should stop putting crayons where the oil goes, that'll probably clear it up.

Do your kids have crayons? They get some at a restaurant you went to? May have sent them down the vent. Or there also maybe floor vents under your front seats may be a crayon sitting right there melted.

The Accord EX 4 cylinder has a bigger engine with iVTEC and it is roomier, cheaper to insure, uses regular fuel and is larger. So it would be great if you need something with room. For example, I once had had to buy some wood for my house and was able to fit 3 boards that were 10 ft by 2x6 and managed to put them into the truck and through the center of the car. I didn't have to drive far, but most cars one could not do this. The truck size is really nice and both of them are easy to maintain.Accord is much more comfortable, it is the more luxury model for sure. If you really do not care about the extra bells and whistles, go with the civic. Both are excellent cars.
