Default why would reverse stop working on a honda trx250ex 2001 the lever where the cable is

suppossed to lock in is a? cable is supossed to do that little metal peice that locks into lever wont lock in would that make reverse not work

Your question is in Honda cars. Before you put your question to the motorcycle people, I would rephrase it because your question is unintelligible.
