Default what can i use to lower my honda?

Im looking to lower/slam my 96 honda civic and i was wondering if a coilover sleeve kit & new racing shock absorbers would get it done. im not really sure what to use to lower it but im not wanting to use any air bags for it.. Any suggestions?

Sell your Honda, then use that money to buy a car worthy of modification.

Just research a good set of Coilovers or a shock/spring kit. EiBach has some good kits available.

Don't cut your springs, yeah it's cheaper but it turns your suspension to crap.

Cutting your stock springs will cause you difficulties in the future. Honda's are actually really reliable cars that does not require as much maitenace as a American DSM car. Also parts are a lot easier and a lot cheaper to find for Honda's. You can get lowering springs which will lower your car but only to a certain point and it is not adjustable. You can also get coil overs which replace your stock springs and will lower your car as much as the coil over allows you too and it is adjustable but your ride will seem stiff or very bouncy.

Yes. A set of coilovers would work fine. Do not cut the springs as someone else suggested. Check sites like for them.

well definatly gettign springs and suspension kits would be better. it would improve performance but why are you trying to lower it. maybe an inch at max i would lower but other than that why bother spending money on something that will only make you scrap on stuff and damage your vehicle. please dont be a hella flush kinda of person.
