Labor rates vary by state, I have no clue what state you are in, depending on the shop or person, it takes 4-7 hours. But you generally will have to leave the car overnight as they have to send the head(top part of engine) out to machine shop to be resurfaced. But expect to pay over 500, or you can do it yourself, it really isn't that hard, just time consuming.

Straight from Alldata:

4 cyl with VTEC = 5.9

4 cyl without VTEC = 5.3

6 cyl (one side) = 8.0

6 cyl (both sides) = 8.8
