Default 1999 Honda Civic Radiator Leak?

Leak is at the top behind the black spung strip, where the top hose is. 30 min spend under and over the car. No hose leaks, connectors are okay, car is not overheading, gauge is in normal levels. Is it over filed? A little splashes on something and makes a lityle smoke come out of the vents. Got Bars silver coolant stop leak. Waiting for the car to cool down. Opinions? ???????

Pin hole leaks are a pain. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is remove the radiator. Plug inlet and outlet with an old innertube but, use the part with the valve on it to pump it up. I just use a good radiator cap to stop up the fill hole.

Use large hose clamps to seal the innertube to the inlet and outlets. Pump it up but only pressurize it to 10 psi. The leak should be readily apparent. If not, get an old kiddie pool and submerse the radiator.

Find and mark your leak. Use a 60/40 tin/lead composition solder, soldering rosin and a handheld propane torch. Use a wire brush to thoroughly clean the area of the leak especially take off the paint. DO NOT USE A FILE. Brush on some rosin. Heat the area to be soldered taking care not to cause any new leaks. Touch the solder to the area. The solder should flow freely so that it can go inside the hole to fill it. Let it cool. Retest for leaks. No leaks? Install in the car and you should be good to go.
