Well that depends on how much money you are willing to drop on a car.

Civic:

-Cheap

-Lots of parts to customize

-You may look cheap to some people

-Common car

-Reliable

Supra:

-Powerful

-Expensive

-Good image

-Rare

-Somewhat reliable since it is a Toyota but hard to customize

I would look at Nissans 300 or Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I think you would like those better.

For drifting you need RWD so automatically the Supra.

Firstly, the Honda Civic is only in the category of decency as an SI Model. The best racers will tell you this. Unless you've got some serious upgrades under that hood of your 4-dr sedan!

The Toyota Supra is a better car in the sense of speed, acceleration, and overall performance.

However!

Both have their Pros and Cons.

THE HONDA:

Pros

Reliable

Good acceleration

Decent top speed

Good handling

Common (Modification friendly)

Somewhat unique look

Well-respected

Good weight

Cons:

Lacked speed and acceleration for all models except SI

Bulky, odd look

Common

Cheap interior plastics

Excessive wind noise

Those are probably the primaries. Overall, the car itself is very recognizable and is excellent to both your daily driver and racer.

THE SUPRA.

Pros:

Fast

Reliable

Great top speed, handling and acceleration

Nice sporty look

Rare

Well respected

Nice weight

Cons:

Uncommon and rare

Loud

Kind of strange looking front end

All in all, the Supra is the better car. However, it tends not to be the greater buy. Civics are common, and because of this they have gone down in price due to the high amounts of them being manufactured on a yearly basis. Plus, it's often quite difficult to get parts or at least upgrades towards the Supra due to its rareness. Where as Civics are extremely modification friendly.

It's awkward saying this, but unless you got about $35 000-$40, 000 for spending, I'd go with the Honda Civic.

Only an SI Coupe model though. And by the way, Nissan 300zx is a good car yes, but only the "tt" model. Also, Eclipse's are decent, but overrated sports cars as well as under performing ones!

Thanks, hopefully this helped.

Stay safe though!
