Default Im looking for a certain kind of switch?

I was wondering if there was some sort of switch or sensor that I could buy to put in my car's trunk to where when i open it, it can automatically turn a light on, and when its closed the light is off. My car did not come with one and I just felt like doing a little project on it just for the hell of it. Its a project car anyways.

Buy one from the auto parts store for the next higher trim level of your make car (one that came with a trunk switch). I am sure there is a hole in the body or trunk that the switch fits into, as it would be too expensive for the automaker to have differing chassis. Or go to the junkyard, find the model car you have, and you will probably find one with an existing trunk switch.

If the car came with the option on a higher trim getting a factory part would be easiest, if thats not possible just get a pin switch.
