Default utttttt=ohhhhh help!!

I have a 99 civic dx 4 door.... went to get cigs real quick and on the way home my car sounds deeper and throatier.... get home look under car and my muffler is hanging... car sounds deeper for sure

the welds that hold muffler to exhaust pipe were rusty and finally broke off completely.. so i unhooked the rubber hangers and now have no muffler.. when i took the muffler out and was putting it in garage sounds like all kinda dirt/grime inside i could hear it when shakin it...

is it expensive to get this muffler welded back to pipe or should i buy a new muffler???

plz help! -- i can still drive my car cause my cat converter is connected to the header so no problems there but my car doesnt sound too great and its killin me, especailly at low revs it sounds like ive got no pipes past the header.

suggestions plz??????????????
