Default Do JDM headlights always need a conversion?

I have a 05 Honda Civic EX and want to get JDM headlights like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-2005-HO...069#vi-content this ebay ad says "Direct replacement, no modification needed" But I read other websites saying these headlights fit perfectly with an HID conversion kit. Does anyone know if that is a requirement or just an option? Can I just replace my headlights with these normally with nothing added and no converting? Thank you!

You dont need to convert or anything. Its just an option for HID lights. I have a civic 07 with JDM halo projectors using stock lights no HIDs yet. BUT if you plan on buying HIDs for it make sure you get the correct bulb because for OEM and aftermarket head lights they use DIFFERENT HID bulbs.

JDM headlights can not be used in the US. Japanese Domestic Market headlights are designed for driving on the left side of the road, biasing the pattern to the left. Those would blind oncoming traffic in the US.

No you do not need to put HIDs in. Those are just an option. You would get those headlights and just plug them in just like you unplugged your old headlights. Now, you could get a HID conversion kit, and that would make your car/headlights look cooler. Then again, that is my opinion. If you want HID conversion kit information just message me.
