Always warm up any engine you use...from a tractor to a car to a dirt bike for about a minute.

I would so that the oil circulates in the engine.

You don't NEED to, but the engine will run better if you let it warm up.

Some people say to just drive off after starting the car but I usually start my car and as soon as I hear or see the RPM decrease, I drive off. The engine automatically goes to a higher RPM when its cold and after about 30-45 seconds the RPM will return to a normal range of about 700-900 rpm. Its better for the automatic transmission too.

Start it, put on your seat belt, and drive it. If the oil is not flowing in 5 seconds you already have something seriously wrong with the engine. Drive it gently until it warms up, but drive it.
