Is it hard to change a water pump in a prelude 98?

yes you need operate on cambelt,powersteering belt etc best leave it to mechanics

My advice would be to pay a mechanic to do it and do the cambelt & tensioner at the same time. It's not really a job for the novice.

It would be a min 5 hour job, it's behind the timing belt which is a big job and a very necessary job.
