Default 2003 Honda Accord replaced the starter now its not shifting properly?

My car wouldn't start so I had my dad replace the starter. It starts up great now but, there's a problem. First, after starting the car and shifting from park to drive the car with shift hard. Its kind of like a jerk forward. I've tested it by going to D3, 2 and 1 and it doesn't do it when I go to those just to regular drive. Second, its shifting weird when I drive it. Its shifting at 15mph which, I think is normal and it use to do it at that. Then it shift again at 30mph. It doesn't feel right for it to be shifting at that point it feels more appropriate at 25 and I believe it use to shift at that point before. What could be wrong? My dad only replaced the starter. Nothing else. What could be effecting the shifting now?

My car is a 2003 Honda Accord EX 4 cylinder automatic if that helps.

There's a good chance that if your Dad took a battery cable off while replacing the starter that the PCM has adaptive learning and now you need to drive for a while so that the computer relearns your driving habits. This effects shift points.
