Default What mid 90's to late 90's Honda Civic has the most horsepower?

I'm looking for a project car to start up I have about 5g to run around with. I don't like hatchbacks or sedans I like/prefer the coupes but which has the most horsepower?

for the most part they made the civic Si faster with every version they came out with,

99-00 civic si is a great plaform.

also keep in mind, you can alwasy buy a shell, or cheap civic, and do an engine swap, the engine swaps arent ridiclous exspensive like i had imagined before i got into the car scene.

if you could take a 99-00 si, swap in the k20 from either the 06 rsx type s, or the 06-11 civic si, thng would be a little beast( i dont know if the swap i mentioned will fit, im just saying it would b awesome if it did)

anyways ask on honda-tech.com or something. those pepole will be able to give you a better answer then those given on yahoo answers. being as alot of the ppl their have built hondas, where alot of ppl here, just speculate on how its pointless to build a 4 cylinder...

start out with a 90-91 crx..

they are super light and come by cheap if you buy a riced out shell or something. don't go for a stock one, they hold their value pretty well if stock and usually sell expensive..

but the 99 civic Si had the most power following up by the del sol si with he b16, then the older del sol si, and 92--95 si which had the d16z6 vtec.

buy a shell then buy an engine, with your budget i can build a 11 sec crappy civic
