Get an Integra GSR. Throw in a turbo. Thats your best bang for the buck.

They are all great for modding. You just have to figure out what you like best. I really like the EK's. Lots of parts and light weight!

for a 7k budget. i vote for a low mileage integra,

the integra has a 1.8 twin cam motor,

the ek has a single cam motor the civic si has a 1.6 twin cam,

you will have to spend alot of money on the civic just to keep up with a stock integra.

free mods are weight reduction , taking a/c out, taking power steering out ( if you can live without them)

i always suggest starting with basic suspension mods before engine mods,

S2000. It's the only Honda made that isn't wrong wheel drive. Plus, learn to drive and it's a 13 second car stock. For $7k in mods on any civic or Integra or Prelude or anything else, you would still be slower than a stock S2000.
