Do you mean Armor All? No. Most vinyl dashes that crack are due to excessive sunlight and heat, drying out the vinyl. If it's parked in sunlight and heat every day, that would do it.

It also could have started from a small cut or incision from a tool, etc.

NO if anything it helps prevent it,,use type with sunblock

Maybe, and I don't know the details of what is okay and what is not. Older Volvos had a devil of a time - after applying Armor All once to an already old dash the surface would deteriorate into a mass of cracks. I made that mistake before I joined a Volvo forum where I found it was common. Other cars didn't seem to have much trouble with it.
